More Info
A) What happens if your computer won’t boot from SATA hard drive which is attached on the controller?
Please go to your computer BIOS, and change the first boot device as SCSI or Add On controller. (If you do not see this option under the BIOS, please contact your motherboard or computer manufacturer to enable it.)
B) How to configure the RAID function?
In order to set up the RAID function, you have to refer to our enclosed Medley software, which helps you set up and monitor RAID activity. Please refer to our instruction manual for more details. It will show you step by step.
C) If your system does not see the controller or won’t install the driver:
It could be the IRQ conflicts caused by your system. Please take out the controller card and reinstall it in the different PCI slot. Once it is detected, then you can install the driver again.
D) Is the card supporting hardware RAID or software RAID?
It is a software RAID. So, you have to install the driver correctly in order for it to fully perform. Please read the instruction manual carefully, and it will show you step by step.
E) Do you have to install the RAID driver even you don’t want to use the RAID function?
Yes, you have to install the raid driver if your controller is Raid version; even you don’t use the raid function.
F) What happens if you want to use the controller with hard drive as a backup hard drive?
Please go to your system BIOS and change the first boot device as hard drive so that your system will boot from your onboard IDE hard drive.
