This cable is compatible with Windows 7, but you need to use the Windows 7 default "Windows Easy Transfer" program to connect both computers.
 
To be able to use this transfer cable on Windows XP and Windows 7:
1. You need to install the Windows XP driver here http://www.adeltek.com/Product%20Driver/networking/CL-ETCB-2101V-X32.zip on your XP computer.
2. When you connect the cable to Windows 7, it will prompt you to create a client Windows Easy Transfer program and save it on a USB flash drive.
3. Remove the USB flash drive and insert to your XP computer. Run the Windows Easy Transfer program from the flash drive to connect two computers.
